John Miller's frieze paintings of pedestrians wraps the room much like Alex Katz paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. I was struck by the object-ness of Miller's paintings. They're mounted on foam-core and stand at least several inches off the wall. Both artist capture the idiosyncrasies of the individuals but Katz comes off the more painterly of the two.
