David Thorpe's exhibition this summer LOVED UNDERGROUND at Meyer Riegger, Berlin consisted of a series of pipeline's and fresco paintings. Thorpe's work is entirely hand made using non-synthetic materials (mud, natural dyes, bone glue, slack lime, hazel branches, casein). The artists labor, nature and an overwhelming enthusiasm for the decorative runs through all of Thorpe's work.
