Maya Lin's "Ghost Forest" is on view through through the fall at Madison Square Park. 49 coastal Atlantic cedars, all about 80 years old, have been installed in the middle of the park otherwise bursting with spring growth. The cedars are victims of saltwater tree rot from rising sea levels in New Jersey. They aren't quite dead, but their leafless branches make it clear they're dying, and will be dead in about two years.
